The Challenge

  • Program was faced with a 46-week material lead-time for five precision aluminum extrusions
  • Using RAMMP Apogee Worx:
    • Engineered 3D models for each custom extrusion profile
    • Qualified a new domestic extrusion vendor
    • Manufactured custom tooling and completed First Article Inspections
    • Scaled production and delivered to meet accelerated program demands

The Result

  •   Delivered a complete solution in under 10 weeks, cutting lead time by 80%
  •   With a 23% reduction in material costs and a fully qualified, scalable supply chain to support future production
  •   Delivered on time and under budget for our customer
“Apogee Worx, slashed lead time by 80% and cut material cost nearly in half.”
Tim Klewicki, KC-135 SPO AFLCMC/WLTM, USAF

The Challenge

  • When the industry sidelined the Air National Guard’s requirement for an Aircrew Ground Cooling Unit (AGCU) as “unsolvable,” Apogee Worx stepped in and created its own.
  • Leveraging RAMMP, Apogee Worx:
    • Developed requirements from scratch, collaborating directly with end-users
    • Designed, prototyped, and tested the AGCU in-house after overcoming
    • significant Roll on-roll-off Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) requirements challenges
    • Achieved airworthiness certifications, completing both ground and in-flight validation
    • Engineered a custom solution to operate within limited 15-amp, 3-phase power availability

The Results

  •   A fully fielded, airworthy cooling system that delivers targeted thermal relief to KC-135 aircrew during preflight ground operations
  •   Enhancing comfort, safety, and mission readiness
“Apogee Worx delivered an aircrew cooling solution that enhance warfighter readiness.”
Col. Jeff “Padre” Gould 151st WG, UTANG

The Challenge

  • NG program faced a 64-week lead time for a specialized aerospace-specific wire in 12 different configurations
  • Using RAMMP Apogee Worx:
    • Sourced and validated the 12 wire types of alternatives to meet system and performance requirements
    • Identified 32 critical discrepancies in the Technical Data Package
    • Protected the program schedule from potential delays through proactive manufacturing engineering technical engagement

The Results

  •   In close collaboration with NG engineering team, Apogee Worx delivered a qualified alternative in 19 weeks–a 72% reduction in lead time
  •   Resulting in timely implementation, approved solutions and cost savings of 35%.
“Apogee Worx, drove critical lead time reduction and TDP alignment to enable schedule and cost savings.”
Garret G., Mission Defense, Northrop Gruman
  •   Electromagnetic energy is emitted by many aircraft systems. Adversaries can intercept and use these signals to determine location, course, speed, platform type and probable destination.
  •   Tight EMCON procedures allow aircrew to reduce aircraft detection providing a major operational advantage.
  •   Today’s MAF aircraft have a myriad of complex RF emitting systems, making EMCON procedures much more difficult (see Table 1).

EMCHECK FEATURES

  • Hand Held/stand alone system
  • Detect multi-band transmission to validate true EMCON
  • To be used on or off the aircraft to verify emission status
  • User Friendly Interface
  • Validate EMCON status on the fly
  • Additional features available for Ground Ops

At Apogee Worx, RAMMP is more than a manufacturing process; it’s our operational culture

  • Your design is not constrained by an inflexible manufacturing structure often reflected in many legacy production lines of previous eras.
  • RAMMP is designed for the pace, complexity and flexibility required of modern defense program. RAMMP integrates engineering, production, and supply chain responsiveness into a single, agile methodology.
  • We utilize proven traditional & additive methods, manufacturing engineering, specific aerospace and general tooling to optimize cost, schedule and performance.

What RAMMP delivers for you

  • Reduced Lead Times: From industry-standard to mission-ready in weeks, not months.
  • Cost Efficiency: Material, labor, and supply chain decisions optimized for performance and value.
  • Engineering Engagement: Technical gaps resolved before they impact production.
Scalable Delivery: Whether you need 1 unit or 10,000, RAMMP scales without compromising quality.
  • Lifecycle Accountability: From design to certification, you have one accountable partner—Apogee Worx.

Measurable impact

  • Over the past 4 years, we’ve delivered 196 technical drawing solutions addressing critical issues such as dimensional tolerance conflicts, parts obsolescence, design/modeling discrepancies, and Bill of Materials (BOM) inaccuracies, including part number mismatches and quantity errors.
  • Solutions have been developed collaboratively with customer engineering teams, ensuring compliance with form, fit, and function requirements.
  • We drive fewer delays and lower program risk due to proactive resolution, expertise you can rely on when technical data package shortfalls, evolving standards, or design gaps are impeding program execution, seamless integration of engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality to enable end-to-end solutions.
“Of the 196 solutions submitted to our customers over the last 4 years, 98.5% were accepted.”
